Yehey! 2007!!!

this beautiful leche flan was made by my friend Cora who brought it at Eva's party. It was really yummy!

Another year, another chance to do everything better than last, new years resolutions to do this and do that...what's mine..i have quite a lot and one of them is to lose weight, action those pending works, get on top of my ironing, cleaning, save more- just those standard and sometimes trivial stuff.

I have to go back to work on the 4th. Excitement for January? brother Ramon and sis in law Dolly with their lovely daughter, Dessy are coming here but will land in Sydney. Will spend Jan 13-22 with them and isn't that great...Also son Ray will go to Nudgee College and this will be a great change for him but the best bit is he is really looking forward to it. So, it sounds really promising eh?

I leave you and love you all may 2007 be a new beginning for you too - look at the positive side and keep on smiling.

Our Christmas Event

...is quite simple this year. We have just spent time in Melbourne and we worked up to the last allowable day. We also attended pre-Christmas parties at work and of friends. I hope that everyone is all rested now and busy (huh?) preparing for their New Year events. Great time to update blogs.

Have dressed up the house for christmas- these 3 santa figurines are regulars on the buffet table.
Our 'guard dogs' watching over the presents that are now revealed.
Housemates and I always manage to have a yearly christmas portrait- we started as 9 housemates, now only 3. Oh well, our children are not for us to keep but for us to nurture and let go when they want to leave the nest. Christmas is the time to remember those good times.

Hope that everyone had a very memorable christmas event!

Housemates are back from Melbourne

From the display window of our local library

From one of our local shopping centres
CELEBRATE is the theme infront of the Casino
but we got caught in the flurry of Christmas activities so the blogging about Melbourne has to be postponed on the vacation break. I need to download hundreds of pictures.

Rest assured though that we had such a wonderful time (of course- we always feel this on non-working holiday) and Melbourne is a great place to be.
With the Christmas Season soon to be here, I hope that you will all be singing "Merry Christmas Darling" to your loved ones and please spend within your budgets for God forbid, you shall be singing THIS SONG!
My family and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the most prosperous New year! I hope that it is the most stress-free event of all.....

Melbourne, here we come!

Housemates and I are going to Melbourne for a week and will be back next Wednesday. Melbourne is in the state of Victoria. As you know or do not know yet, we reside in the state of Queensland.
It will be our first time to see Melbourne. I was there for the first time for a stop-over in June 1988. I was with Vivian and we were on our way to New Zealand. It was there that we changed over from Phil Airlines (PAL) to Air NZ. I bought Vivian an activity book there to keep her entertained for 4 hours. She kept that book for at least a year. It was also there that I felt for the first time, the coldness of winter which is nearly zero degrees. It's like walking into a freezer.
So- this will be my first time to see Melbourne out of its International Airport. We'll see what's in store for us.

Vivian was born today!

This festive 1st day of the month is Vivian's birthday and she is 23 this year. We thank the good Lord for the gift that was Vivian and also remember Dina, her twin sister who joined the Lord at birth. More on Vivian here
